— PROLOGUE —

The First Teaching

The Picatrix Skate Grimoire teaches that by aligning your will with celestial forces at the right moment, you unlock hidden power.

Skaters know this truth — when the spot, the timing, and your focus align, you enter the zone where impossible tricks become possible.

The board becomes your talisman.
The street becomes your circle of invocation.

CHAPTER I
MERCURY
QUICKSILVER
THE MESSENGER

Knowledge

"Before the trick, the study. Before the study, the silence."

Every skater is, first, a student of motion. We watch. We rewatch. We learn the angles of curbs and the language of cracks. The Picatrix devotee studies the spot the way an astrologer studies the sky — patiently, repeatedly, with reverence for what is permanent and what is fleeting.

There is no shortcut to a clean line. There is only attention, paid in full, until the body knows what the mind has memorized. This is Mercury's gift: the swift connection between knowing and doing.

CHAPTER II
MARS
IRON
THE WARRIOR

Intention

"The trick is decided before the push."

Knowledge without will is decoration. The Picatrix doctrine demands that every approach be a decision — committed, focused, charged with what the old books called intentio. Mars is the planet that turns thought into action, fear into fuel.

You do not "try" the trick. You declare it. The board obeys not your hands but your conviction. To skate without intention is to wander; to skate with it is to invoke.

CHAPTER III
JUPITER
TIN
THE EXPANDER

Movement

"To roll is to pray with the body."

Knowledge studies. Intention decides. Movement consecrates. Jupiter is the planet of expansion, of joy, of momentum that opens doors. When you push, you are not transporting yourself across pavement — you are tracing sigils on the city.

Every line is a sentence. Every session is a chapter. The skater who understands this no longer "skates"; they participate in a centuries-old practice of writing meaning into stone with four wheels and a wooden plank.

CHAPTER IV
SATURN
LEAD
THE TEACHER

Transmutation

"You came to the spot one person. You leave another."

This is the alchemist's secret, hidden in plain sight at every skate session: the act itself changes you. Saturn is the slow planet, the teacher who works through pain and patience. The slam, the hospital trip, the year of trying the same trick — these are not setbacks. They are the fire that purifies the metal.

We do not ride to escape who we are. We ride to become who we are not yet. The street is our laboratory. The board is our crucible. Solve et coagula — dissolve and reform. This is the final teaching, and the only one that matters.

— EPILOGUE —

The Four are One.
The One is You.

Knowledge without intention is a library no one reads.
Intention without movement is a fire that never lights.
Movement without transmutation is a dance with no end.
But the four together — sealed in the body of a skater — that is the working.

This is what we make. This is what we wear. This is why the symbol on your tee is not decoration — it is a charged object, given meaning by the act of riding in it.
