The Picatrix is one of the oldest and most mysterious texts in the Western esoteric tradition — a medieval grimoire of astral magic, written in Arabic and later translated into Latin, carrying the knowledge of the stars, of intention, of the hidden forces that move beneath the visible world. For centuries it was studied by those who believed that the universe operates according to patterns — that those who learn to read them can shape their own transmutation.
We read it differently. We read it on a board.

Picatrix was founded by Jorge Lau — a Panamanian who grew up on the Atlantic coast, in Colón, a port city that taught him early that the world is a crossroads, and that knowledge arrives from unexpected directions.
Jorge came to skateboarding not just as a sport but as a discipline — a practice with its own codes, its own physics, its own demand for patience, repetition, and will. Over time, he noticed something: the culture around skating was shifting. The raw, intentional edge that had defined it was being diluted. The weight was leaving.
He wanted to bring it back — not through nostalgia, but through depth. He turned to the sources that had always fascinated him: alchemy, astrology, the esoteric traditions that mapped the invisible architecture of the world. And he found that skateboarding and the occult speak the same language.
Picatrix is what emerged from that collision. A brand built on the belief that riding with purpose is itself a form of magic. That a line is an intention. That a trick landed is a transmutation — of fear into motion, of doubt into mastery.
